Travelling for kilometres, accelerating through the steep, winding roads of Lazio along the route of the legendary Mille Miglia race, putting their driving skills to the ultimate test.

Enjoy the atmosphere of Latin’s millenarian capital, go shopping in the most exclusive shops, indulge in the glamorous restaurants attended by the international jet-set.

Behind the scenes, Red Travel staff take complete care of the Ferraris. Every morning, our guests will find their car at the entrance of the hotel, clean and polished, refuelled and fully checked, ready to begin another day of exciting driving through further dazzling landscapes.

WELCOME TO ROME, THE ETERNAL CITY

• Red Travel has chosen Rome, this grandiose and fascinating location full of history as the starting point of your Ferrari Experience!

  You will be met at Rome – Fiumicino airport and transferred by limousine to a 5star hotel in Rome of your choice (see suggestion below).

• Check-in and accommodation in double deluxe room (or Junior Suite).
  Here you can take a rest before setting out on an initial tour of the wonders of the ‘Eternal City’.

  You may have the opportunity to explore some of its most beautiful sights, like the Coliseum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican…

  Visit the Ferrari store as well and capture the right mood for tomorrow’s encounter with the Prancing Horse!

DAY 2: Ferrari driving experience!
Route: Rome - Albano Laziale - Ariccia - Frascati - Castel Gandolfo - Grottaferrata - Rome

Morning

• Pick-up at your hotel in Rome and meeting with your Red Travel Tour Director.
  
  

  Welcome coffee in the exclusive location of the hotel followed by a dedicated Ferrari briefing, with your car scenically displayed in front of the hotel.

  Our private Tour Director, an expert Ferrari driver, will introduce our guests to the world of Ferrari; clarify the finer details of the controls, explain the differences between the various models (Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Ferrari 430 Scuderia and 430 Spider, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti), the peculiarities of the engines (8-cylinder or 12-cylinder) and most importantly, give guidance on how to handle the F1 paddle-gear shifting behind the steering wheel.

• Departure by Ferrari towards the Castles of Rome.
  
  

  You will leave by Ferrari heading towards the area of Castles of Rome, to visit such places as Albano Laziale, Ariccia, Frascati, Castel Gandolfo and Grottaferrata. During the tour, several halts will allow driver and passenger to swap seats, if they wish to.

  Our Tour Director leads the way at the wheel of his Alfa Romeo Brera 3.2, guiding the Ferrari along the panoramic and enchanting roads of the Pontina, a road opened in the 30’s after drainage of the Pontine Marshes, which gave the name to the road. During the whole journey, the Ferraris and the Tour Director’s Alfa Romeo will be constantly in touch by mobile radio system.

  The roads carefully selected by Red Travel ensure maximum driving pleasure while enjoying the beautiful landscape of Castles of Rome and its surroundings.

• h. 11.30: On route, halt at Albano Laziale, for a short visit of this splendid spot, and for drink/toilette. You would be able to see Albano’s many ruins of the Roman times, as well as its churches and an enormous cistern, still well preserved, designed and built by the legion’s architect (praefecti fabrum) to provide water for the camp and the surrounding buildings.
  
  
• h. 12.00: The tour heads towards Ariccia, famous for its excellent roast pork « porchetta » and for its ancient burg and view overlooking Rome, and Frascati, well known for its white wine and the beautiful villas, built from the 16th century by the Popes.
  
  
• h. 13.00: Arrival in Castel Gandolfo. The Pope’s summer residence, Castel Gandolfo is notable for having been the place where 2 popes died in 1958 (Pope Pius XII) and 1978 (Pope Paul VI).
  
  
• Lunch at restaurant Pagnanelli with a panoramic view over the Lake of Albano.

Afternoon

• h. 02.30: Start of the 2nd part of the tour from the village of Castel Gandolfo.
  
  Discovery of the picturesque and the breathtaking panorama offered by the Lake, with its beautiful villas, enriched by pure driving pleasure on an amazing succession of wonderful sights!
  
  
• h. 15.00: Arrival in Grottaferrata and visit of this town, mainly famous for hosting one of the main monuments of the Lazio region, the Abbey of Santa Maria di Grottaferrata.
  
  
• h. 16.30: Departure by Ferrari to Rome.
  
  
• h. 18.00: Arrival in Rome and the end of Ferrari experience

Evening

• Dinner in Rome – Restaurant suggestions: La Pergola (3 Michelin stars)
• Overnight in 5***** Hotel (Rome) of your choice

DAY 3: Arrivederci Italia

• Time at disposal for shopping or just to relax.
